Welcome to Kyilla Primary School

Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Kyilla Primary School, an Independent Public School for over 300 Kindergarten to Year 6 children. ‘Building a strong foundation for life’ is our vision for all of our children and is the focus for the school in the next three years. Information about this vision is realised and articulated in the Business Plan. Our School Board is a proactive body that sets the strategic directions of the school and oversees the school's Delivery and Performance Agreement and the Business Plan.

At Kyilla Primary School we are proud of our achievements. We have a proven track record for ensuring that children are given every opportunity to do their best academically, socially and physically. Children are taught and supported by experienced teachers and school support staff. Pastoral care is provided to students through our student services team which includes a school chaplain and school psychologist.

We offer a dynamic Arts program that includes music and visual arts. There is instrumental music tuition for trumpet, clarinet and guitar. We have a school choir who have opportunities to perform at school and local events. Students are taught sport by a physical education specialist and students have the opportunity to play in interschool sports with neighbouring schools.

Families are welcome to be part of the children’s classes by volunteering for school events and helping with class activities, as well as committing to the P&C Association.

We are located in North Perth, tucked away between Charles and Walcott streets. Next to Kyilla Park, we make the most of this open space as a play and sporting area. The park is also used by the P&C Association for the successful Kyilla Community Farmers' Market held each Saturday morning.

I believe that the key to a successful education is collaboration between families and school. I look forward to working with you and your family to make your child's education a fulfilling and happy one where they reach their potential.
